Zonotrichia leucophrys 25. 7 April, S & E Grounds + T.ultus Nest F Marked 20.4 gm, Prin. 22 mm out 4, mm. Crown feathers still in sheaths. Gave protest note when removed from balance. Defecated after weighing. New wt. 20.1 Unmarked, 22.0 gm, Prin. 21 mm Out 2-3 mm. Soze forehead (as above) feathers still in sheaths. Defecated on balance. New wt. 21.3 gm. Gave several protest notes when handled on balance. Off balance sat on whole tarsus. 8 April 0615 Unmarked, 19.7 gm, Prin. 25 mm Out 2-5, All feathers at except those above + part of eyes. Streakings very plain on throat, breast + flanks. Stripe becoming evident on each of crown. Banded 24/180303 on right leg. Defecated before weighing. Marked. 18.5 gm. Prin. 23, out 3-5 mm. Very few forehead feathers not out, Stripe on head very evident, Banded 24/180304 on left leg, Both birds jumped off balance pan repeatedly. Unmarked more than marked. Unmarked bird was sitting on edge of nest when I left. I had to restrain him from leaving when I replaced him, S Side Grounds + Bldg. Nest E. 4 eggs now at 0700. 9 was not on nest when I was there. This nest is 48" from ground at top, is lined with aluminum or tin foil.
