"Zonotrichia leucophrys" 24, 6 April SE Corner Univ + Fulton, Nest F this one. All but at. 7+6 primaries, left 1st, are out. Rectrices thin, + most back feathers, but not far + down stiller. Downyous feathers fartlest out. Gave protest note + defeated in my hand as I put him on balance. Marked bird gaped as I put @ the other one back. @ 18:20 hrs. 7 April Greenhouse area, Nest B 0600, vt 15.6 gm Prim. This bird found dead in nest. It was very windy last night, very cool if not down- night cold. this bird probably did not have enough feather cover to keep warm, I will preserve him for further study. Cat. # 175. See catalog. SE Corner Univ. + Fulton, Nest F 0615 Marked - vt. 18.0 Prim. 18mm. All primaries are out of sheath, feathers on back of head are out, on forehead not. All others out, except central rectrices the sheaths are barely out. But even on these the ends are broken. Gaped in my hand. Unmarked - vt 17.1 gm Prim. 18mm. Gaped when I first reached into nest, again when I reached for him. Also at this time gave begging squeak. Then gave protest note when I touched him. All feathers but an part of head + primary coverts have come thru sheaths.
