Banks 1957 Zonotrichia leucophrys 19 3 April Greenhouse Area, Nest B 1805. Not much change from this morning. Primaries are 2mm at most. Weight 8.8 gm. Gaped when I put the mirror up, but not when I put [illegible] hand up. Adult bird saw me remove & replace the young bird. S E corner Univ. Fulton, Nest F. Marked - 12.8 gm Prim 3 mm. Unmarked - 12.7 gm. Prim. 3mm; Unmarked bird has eyes slightly open. Other bird more active. Began to gape as soon as I parted bushes. Gaped in my hand. Very active on balance pan, almost got off. Nest A No change. Have not flushed a bird for the last 3 visits. I think they have deserted. They are certainly way overdue to hatch. 4 April Greenhouse Area, Nest B Weight 9.2 gm. Primaries out 4 mm. 0615 The bird is not very active this morning. It gaped when I held the mirror up, but did not stretch straight. It gaped weakly on the balance pan. It struggles hard if I try to put it on its back. Its eyes are open slightly. S E corner Univ. Fulton Nest F Marked 13.1 gm 5mm Primaries Unmarked 12.2 gm 5mm Primaries The unmarked bird was much more active both in my hand and on the balance. Neither bird gaped when I parted the bushes. 0630. Eyes are open.
