Banks, R.C. 1955 4. 21-23 Oct. About 1700 hrs. J. Schnell + I set traps 1 mi S. 1 mi E. Orinda, on Hall Rd., Contra Costa Co., Calif. Set 12 mus. sp. in grassy field, 13 mus. sp., 5 rat traps in wooded ravine. Both areas looked like excellent habitate Checks Sat (22 Oct.) AM & PM found all traps empty, the most in the field had been sprung. In PM moved all traps in field closer to area where thistles (?) were growing, and where some trash had been dumped. Sun. (23 Oct.) A.M. found 18 Peromyscus truei (RCB 11) in woods, 2 in field, had 6 Reithrodontomys megalois, most very small.
