23 March Bamraft by Athletic Field, Center Section At extreme lower end, last barker in this section, a bird flushed from wester with sharp chips as I walked by. Chips turned to near screens as I looked into brush. Found nothing. Same, Lower Section Upper part of lower section - formula nest without eggs in wester, one long & over-shot wall section W. of N pillar. The bird nearby was very excited. This location is outside well from previous remarks labeled "Inside SE corner Track Field", Nest C. This nest is about 10-12 ft from a nest of last year. Farther down on lower section, a bird flushed from one bush to the wall, then flew on down section (V.). At end of section saw the same or another bird. Still can find no nest here. Corner Faulton & Durant, Berkeley. SE corner - many shrubs along side of house. White Crown flew from ground to one of those, then past back of house, flying E., partially into the next lot. 2211 Haste St. Berkeley. Bird singing on ledge along steps. Sang several times, then left. Probably same bird I noted first this morning. 24 March Greenhouse Area, West B No change, 7:15 A.M. Barrow Lane + Naval Adm. Blg. Cannot find nest in sight. Do not even see birds today. May have been gathering nest material yesterday,
