All wing feathers are ahead of all others. Two defecated on the scale, first time they have done that. The focal ras are very strong. There were no sounds today. Only one bird legged when I touched nest - Others were sort of apathetic until put on scale. Maybe the awkwardness of the balance pan is what makes them jump so. 18 May Weighed them about 1740 hrs. They all traised and gaped when I reached toward the nest. Later two of them crouched as though the fear reaction had started, but it has just barely started.
