27 Apr. Bancroft along 6th Field Center Sec. u-2 and u-3 seen today with one fledgeling. 30 Apr. Banow Lane opp N/E corner Adm Bldg. Nest F Found this nest containing three eggs. No adult birds around, so possibly incubation has not yet begun. 1 May Bancroft along 6th Field Center Sec - A pair with one young. Could see no lands. One bird was singing atop wall, probably ♂, other was in bush with young one. 8 May Banow Lane opp N/E corner Adm Bldg. Nest F Flushed ♀ from nest. There are four e ggs present. 11 May Still 4 eggs, no hatching yet. 12 May SE Corner Edwards Sted. - Watched a ♂ singing on wall of 6th Field Sec. (Bancroft along 6th Field, Loner Sec.) could not see ♀ or get any reaction from ♂ by looking in bushes outside of wall. Nest inside located nest ♀ on it about 9 ft. high in top of bush. Cannot see in it but there must be eggs. Will call this nest G. NW Corner Edwards Field - A bird carried food into Geraniums along wall. It remained. I poked around the area for several minutes, finally it flushed (from ground?) but I couldn't find anything. Repeat performance of above about 10 min. later. Both birds were present between. Probably have young out of nest. Check later.
