Pair acts like there is a nest here, but I cannot find it. NW corner Edwards Stad. Nest C - ♀ Ad, holding food, will not approach nest while I sit 10yds t away. I moved farther away, she fed them almost immediately. Ford observed thus far seems to be insects or larvae (small 1" worms). I cannot tell whether both birds are feeding now or just ♀. Young no longer raising up when I approach nest. Do not open mouths when I when I put hand alone nest, or when I touch it. Now they crouch down in the nest so they do not stick out, and as effectively hidden. If I touch them, or the nest, or disturb them too much, they give a very harsh note, / , sounds like an English Sparrow. Seems like a series of notes, too fast for trill but not quite fast enough for a buzz. 10 Apm. This nest is empty! No sign of disturbance in the nest but no young. ♂ bird on top of vines singing. ♀ arrived, no food in bill. Both birds seem nervous. Barnes- Lane, Rear John Block. Nest A - Still 2 eggs No sign of ♀ 12 Apm. NW corner Edwards field - ♂ singing from wall about 30 ft. from previous nest. ♀ sitting on a previously much used perch on vines near nest. Both flew outside stadium.
