15. 6Apr. N.W corner Edwards Field, Nest C. squawking with nothing near the nest. Finally I put the mile in the vines by the nest, hoping to get sounds as she fed them. She was almost ready to approach (I was 12ft away) when outside noise became unbearable. Twice while hopping around nest she went to ground & gathered more or replaced food she had. When I was done, put all equip. away, she fed them, gathered food close by, fed again in about a minute. I sat by spying. & fed again in a few minutes, after some hedging. I never saw her remove a peal see. Age of young birds 4 or 5 days. Barrow lane, across Old Bldg. Nest A - took eggs from nest #, put in nest 2, (Song Sparrow), and replaced them w/ 2 Song Sparrow eggs. Song sparrow eggs are smaller, lighter color, not as spotted. I was chased from nest, J. Schwell kept her off, and I made switch. Broke third egg accidentally, left it in nest. I not around when me left. 7Apr. Barrow lane, Nest A. I incubating this nest this morning. Broken egg was gone but others were there. 8Apr. I not incubating th at this visit, but eggs still present. Banacft along 6th Field Lower Sec. Nest B - Still 4 eggs here, & incubating
