Banks, R.C. 1956 White Crowned Sparrow 8. 12 Mar. Bancroft along 4th Field center section. One bird feeding in grass in lower part of section. Joined by a bird from other end of section. One flew to other end of section, joined a bird there. Four birds by uppermost clump of small shrubs. Much trilling + chipping. One bird flew across street to shrubbery by church parking lot. 14 Mar. E of Adm. Bldg. on Bancroft line One bird in here, came from by Adm. Bldg., feeding in ground bushes. Very tame not fly when pedestrians nears. Pulled at dead grass. Another bird came in + they flew to top of hedge, fought all way down then. Later one bird. Gathered nesting material, dropped it fed for good while on shrubs - Another bird came when first one in bush. He chased her over ledge. 6/5 6:30 P.M. Bancroft along 4th Field/Centre Sec. Two pairs of birds. Heard trilling and sounded like copulation as I approached. Both pairs flew over wall into 4th Field. One pair flew to trees by W. door of Men's Gym. 15 Mar. NE Corner Durant + Ellsworth - Bird singing from Acacia tree, Went about 10 ft. to another tree. Flew away
