Young appear in good shape after 2 cool
+ wet days. Did not count them.
1910 Collected 1 young, appeared to 2 left.
13.1 gm. All primaries + secondaries out,
most counts just thru skin, 8th Prim.
is 2+ mm. Some humeral feathers
barely thru skin, back (mid-) zone
even less. Inside of mouth red, lined with
yellow. All feather tracts dark,
except lower abdominal. Thigh has just
a few spots. Tail represented by extremely
short down.

Collected another young bird at 8:30 +/-
Wt. 22.5 gm, 8th Prim. 17.5 mm.
Aula, rt. primaries 1-6, 9, rt. greater
prim. cov. 4, left prim. 1,2, 4-9, left,
greater prim. cov. 1, 4, 7 are out of
sheath. A few feathers on crown,
neck, many on mid-back + humerus
also out. Abdominal tracts out, but not
throat or chin. Flank all out, thigh
partly. #192.
