Piranga ludoviciana
31 May 1957
Dana St., Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif.
Tuth. A picked up this bird in the 2300 block of Dana St. about 0730. She gave it to me shortly thereafter. I took it home + put it in freezing part of refug.
Thawed & re froze it on 3 June, thawed it and put it up 4 June, '57. It is ad. $\frac{8}{9}$, but tests too soapy to measure. Brood patch.
Bird very fat - under every feather that was guts of yellow fat. Tore skin several times trying to remove fat. Bird had a bare patch on throat when found.
