Banks, B.C. 1956 English Sparrow Passer domesticus 28 Jan. Berkeley Women's Club, Durant St. - Birds goin in and out of tiles on roof. Chipping loudly. Seem to be investigating; maybe even claiming territories + nest sites. 4 March UC Campus Berkeley - Several moving around & entering cliff swallow nest at NE corner Durant Hall. 20 April E Side Danielle Hall - Pair evidently has nest in cliff swallow nest here. ? ? sitting with head sticking out. 1957 18 March 1957 22426 Bancroft, Berkeley, Alameda, Calif. Several pairs gatherin nest material across street (by Edwards Field) + meeting under the tiles of the roof of this building.
