Sialia currucoides
12 Oct. 1957
Crocker Guard Sta., 5mi N 2 1/2 mi W Bedworth, 5760+ft. Plumas Co., Calif.
Shot 2 birds here on fence. Frozen until 4 Feb. 1958 when I put them up. #274 probably &; couldn't find good for sure, but a black spot (shot size) was seen. #275 had black testes, left to 3mm., so I think black of 274 was testes also. Both fat, 274 more so, but it was lighter. 274 also some showed signs of melt on inside of skin on crown - very slight.
Both birds had completely 2-layer skulls.
