Sialia mexicana 26 Jan. 1957 Tres Palmas, Valleito Valley, 900 ft. San Diego Co. Calif. A large concentration of these birds in this area, esp. around the water. We got 5 all told. PCB, 164 O? ad. 33.1 gm. WLM, 6 ♀ ? ? JCO, 25 ♂ ? testes large (4mm) JCO, 28 ♂ ? CST, 177 ♂? ad. 29.6 gm. 18 April 1.8 mi S., 1 mi E Orinda, 250 ft. Contra Costa Co. Calif. Shot ♀ (by appearance) of a pair. It was sitting high in the dead part of a tree (Unbeliev?) Wt. ♀ 26.7 gm. Bird is (on dissection) a ♀, but over not large O, and longest omm under 1mm. Plumage is worn, esp. wings + tail (flight feathers)
