Mrs. 1956 Turdus migratorius 31 7 May N. Men's Fac. Bldg. - A nest in the fork of a tree about 25 feet high. 11 May NE corner Men's Fac. Club - This bird (♀) was sitting on nest. All of a sudden it left. It flew W about 40 feet before chasing a Fox Squirrel. It flew at it with a loud wing fluttering, veered off, and attacked again! I did not see it actually hit the squirrel. It chased it out and around the nest and about 80 feet beyond the nest. Immediately after squirrel was out of area she returned to nest. About 5 min. later it flew to nest, & flew off. Then young raised heads and were fed. B left shortly after feeding. The young appear to be at least a week old (from my position 30 ft. away). I did not hear any sounds from either young or adults.
