Banks, E.E. 1954 Turdus migratorius Robin 2? 10 Apr. E. Drinelle Hall, Loquat tree (S side) Building nest about 9 ft up in loquat tree, east one on south. Very tame - came to nest while I was beneath it, not 2 feet away. She is carrying mud. She brings a load arranges it, the nest sits in nest and arranges, then flies off toward creek. The outside of the nest is almost entirely chickweed Stellaria (?), still green, but wilting. This hangs down and is very straggly, not neat like most Robin nests. 20 Apr. N.E corner Men's Fox Club - Nest in Undulularia, about 30 ft from stream level, 25 ft from walk level. In fork in large N.E branch. Very straggly outside and bottom, with material hanging down a foot or so. From clipping of a bird while she is incubating. E Drinelle Hall, S. side Plaza - Have not seen any activity around this nest since 11 Apr. 27 Apr. S of SW entrance LSB - Nest on horizontal branch of live oak (Q sp.), 12-95 ft above ground, where a cluster of small branches originate. Pair of birds on ground in area. SE corner LSB - Robin building nest in fork (at main trunk) of Cupressus, about 10 ft high. 30 Apr. N.E Corner Men's Fox Club - Bird setting on nest this morning.
