Banks, P.C. 1956 Indus migratorius Robin 26 Jan. Barnst by Men's Gym, U.C. Campus - large flock feeding on berries of Cotonaster. Flew back and forth to Unitarian church yard/curves street. Suddenly all movement stopped except for a warning like note from robin. Most birds dropped out of sight, but a few sat on cycle fence. Movement at least rapid or long moves, not evident for several minutes, but notes and snatches of song increased soon. 10 Feb. Main entrance Apts. Bldg. - Robin chased song sparrow off singing perch. I think this was accidental, as Robin was just flying by. 13 Feb. Bancroft Street clay ath. Field - feeding on berries - seen less frequently, often accompanied by Cedar Waxwings, as they were this day. 24 Feb. U.C. Campus - lots of Robins today. 7 Mar. U.C. Campus - Robin singing this morning. First time I've heard Robin giving full song in earnest, this year. 9 Mar. Robin's singing again today. Eshleman Rd & of Adam Bldg. - large flock of birds including Robin, Cedar Waxwings, Barnst Thrushes feeding on berries. 16 Mar. Eshleman Rd - a Robin, I think, with at least 2 outer primaries on right wing, maybe some under wing coverts, alone 9 Aps. Behind Wesley Foundation, Bancroft House - Robin gathering nesting material. Flew into large live oak with mouthful of grass + weed stems.
