Bake 1957 Journal 12 May U.C. campus area, Berkeley, Alameda G., Calif. Rained overnight, probably late in morning. Still raining at 0630 when I left home, a little hard (but still not hard) at 0640. 2 May Rained overnight, everything wet this morning. Cleaned & run out around 0700, Warmed up nicely during day, 3 May Drove to Hopland, Mendocino Co., with Charlie Thader. Left 1045, Ret. 2030, three day. Returned too late to weigh birds, altho me had planned to get back earlier. 8 May It was pouring rain when I got up at 0515, so I decided to ship the morning weighing. However by 0630 it was stopped, and cleared into a beautiful clear sunny day. Turned cloody & rained again before noon. Cloudy cool, rain off & on all after- oon. 9 May. Rained during the night. Cool this morning, and overcast. Began to rain as I left the house at 0610, rained until at least 0645. 12 May. Missing this AM while weighing Hatzl. 13 May. Raining some while working on Hertzl. Overcast, rained more or less all morning.
