Banks 1957 Journal 4 23 Jan 1957 Badlands, 1 mi W, ft. 60+79, 1850+ft., Riverside Co., Calif. Saw Phoebe. Ate lunch. Set 60 traps (my up) John Ondrias + Walt set 40 traps in a side canyon ; Charlie set 20 in another; I set 4 rat traps near a wood rat house. S. side Mt. Russell, 1500+ft., Riverside Co., Calif. Set 5 Schyler traps in rocks about at top of hill (Charlie + ?). John + Walt set 48 traps, Charlie + I set 45. John + Charlie set 251 at about 1550 ft. & Set-up camp here. After dark drove looking for Dipodomys and Peromyscus, but although we saw many we caught only 1 Peromyscus near the lower trap line. Got home
