56 species. Dr. Miller said the Tree Swallows, seen at the Refuge I.D., were none there. The Marsh Wren was singing quite loudly.
Others we could or should have seen: Short eared owl; night herons; Gadwall. Ross Goose; teal (saw, not identified); Roughlegged Hawk; Whistling Swan; Tree Ducks. Didn't look for land birds. Undoubtedly could have seen many more sp. if we had tried.
