Blanks 1456 Journal. 45 210ct. Cornal Hollow, San Joaquin Co. Calif 700+ ft. 210ct. In rustle draw, with some seepage, large number of birds. Here we saw- Carpodacus mexicanus, Aplrocoma coerulescens, Junco, Dendrocopos villosus, Dendrocopos nuttallii. I shot the Nuttall Woodpecker and the house finch. Charlie shot a Jay, a junco, and the Hairy Wood- pecker. Other birds we saw during the day were: Larinus, Colapter celes, Buteo jamaicensis, Falco spar- avarius, Chondester, Charlie shot a shrike on way back, S.E. Livermore. Very interesting trip. Between Livermore and Pleasanton, Alameda Co.- Saw large group of Goot (Emilia americana) 75+ a couple Yellowlegs?, in gravel quarry. Also! Larus delawarensis. Harsting Reservation, Monterey Co. Calif 27 Oct. '56 Left Babely about 0830 with Dr. Hull and Zoo 136 class. Saw White tailed Kites S of San Jose. Arrived Harsting Res. about 1300. In afternoon looked around Res. Bird list for day: Elanus leucurus Thrandius vociferus Agelastes pratinus Stumella reglecta Sidia mexicana (?) Pica nuttalli Buteo jamaicensis Cormus brachyrynchus) at Harsting Res. Balanesphyga formicivora
