Camped about 8:30PM, 16mi. N. Queretaro, Queretaro, Mexico.
Found 4 live snails w/ elongate spiral shells (~# 1 1/2cm long.); shell x background color = white, striped w/ brown along axis of shell. Black lited for
about 2 wks. Brought in vast numbers of one species of earwig and
sm. blk. "quats"; one lg. yellow Saturniid w/ maroon stripes, several
fireflies. (Snail found by life of Coleman (stem stuck to mesquite branches
1-2 meters above ground ; sealed to branches w/ mucous.)

Sighted Vermillion Flycatcher (Pyrocephalus rubinus) ♂ and pr. of
Cactus Wrens. (Campylorhynchus brunneicapillus). Surrounding desert;
mesquite, (mimosa?), cactuses (sacholla, ---), ground littered
w/ volcanic pebbles.
