1937 Peromyscus maniculatus
Warm Spring, Lassen Co., Calif.
May 25 One caught 4 1/2 mi. N.W. of here around deserted farm house.
May 26 18 caught at edge and near cultivated alfalfa field.
May 27 Johnson trapped in the same area that I caught the 18 Peromyscus and did not catch any. Apparently I captured most of those in this region the first night.
June 4 Near Smith Creek Cave, Mt. Moriah, White Pine Co., Nevada.
Nine caught - 4 M - 5 F in open flat east of camp
Association: Artemisia tridentata, Light-green sage like bush brighter colored leaves than A.t. Epedera
Soil: Sandy, silty, gravel, stones etc.
Ages: 2 imm F + 1 imm M - all the rest adults.
June 6 4 mi. S Candy, Utah
Four caught 2 M + 2 F in wind blown silt. The area in which these were caught was the type of country in which one would expect Microdipodops - Low brush, loose silty sand in dunes.
June 7 Near Smith Creek Cave, Mt. Moriah, White Pine Co., Nevada:
Two caught out of 30 traps on hillside to west of camp. Consisted of one adult and one Imm. F.
