1 Peromyscus crinitus Ad.♀ 3 Peromyscus maniculatus 2 imm.♂ 1 imm.♀ 1 Reithrodontomys megalotis Ad.♀ Fuller record of these will be found in the species account. Yesterday afternoon on the way to camp I heard a pair of Spotted Towhees scolding in a nearby thicket. On closer examination I found a Gopher snake with its head in the nest of these birds attempting to eat the remaining two nestlings. I collected the snake out did not remove the stomach contents. I intend to return to the nest today in order to see whether or not it has been deserted. The nest was flat on the ground under a clump of overhanging grass.
