Perognathus formosus
Warm Spring, Lassen Co., Calif.
May26 Two caught by Fitch in rocky locations N.W. of here.
May30 1 mi. NW Pahran Ph., Washoe Co., Nevada: A single
? was caught by me in the hard packed scantily
brushed area on the E side of Smoke Creek
Desert. It seemed to prefer more rocky, rough
ground than the other Perognathus thus far
caught. The desert at this point was strewn with
black volcanic rock. These ranged from the size
of a pea to that of a cantalope.
