Lee Arnold
1937 Myotis (sp.?)
2 mi W Smith Creek Cave, 6,300 ft., Mt.
Moriah, White Pine Co., Nevada.
June 15,
Five adult & shot. Three of these had
well developed single embryos. Could it be
that the males do not come out until later
or that they are in a different locality.
Probably the presence of water and an
abundant growth of willows is attractive
to the insects that the bats feed upon-
thus the presence of vast numbers of
bats. It certainly seems an ideal spot
for flies, gnats and mosquitos.
