J.D. Anderson 1957 Journal March 23 Trip to Valencia, Sagoon, Rio del Mar, Santa Cruz & Cliff. Left Berkeley at 8 am with D[illegible] & Dan Wilhoft. Travelled via Skyline Blvd. Stopped at a pond 4½m.s. San Francisco Sun, Son Mateo. Caught 1 large ad. Thamnochis scitafis tetragona & jew. Continued on towards Santa Cruz with an occasional stop for collecting. Arrived at Valencia at 11pm. The food was much drier than two weeks previous. The pond area was not completely dry. Those areas which contained eggs to on March 9 were not hard & dry. The stream (Valencia Creek) was completely dry also. It would seem that the reproductive effort of the year will be absolutely zero. Even big rainstorms would do little good at this point. Thoroughly searched oak woods for adults but went more close to
