Oenothera ovata growing in good number
at level of pond in mired area but not in
real wet spots. Riles in flower at edge of forest.
Caught 1 Gerhoneter multicaudine at
S end of pond under a board. No snake
seen.
Left Valencia Jojon at 7:15. Drive N
on I th Santa Cruz. Took Rt 17 to Fox Gate,
Rt 9 to Sunnyvale (then Saratoga) & got on
Bayshore Freeway (I28 Bypass) thru at Sunnyvale.
Then across Bridge to Berkeley. Home at 9:30
pm. This route seems by far most satisfactory.
During rush hours it might be bad but otherwise
there is a minimum of stopping & a maximum of
freeway. I really take a little more than 2 hrs.
While going on other side of bay averages an
hour longer.
