Aug 6 Mosquito Lake, 8000ft, 2 mi. W. Foot of Peak, Alpine Co., Calif.
Left Berkeley at 3:10 am with Ned Johnson & Dick Banke. Drove to US 50 & then on that Route 4. Arrived at
Big Meadow, 6500ft, Calaveras G, at 7:30 a.m. Began
work for larvae at once. Larvae were abundant close to
shore, some in water ca 1/2
