Anderson 1958 Journal Feb. 9 Valencia Lagoon, Rio del Mar, Santa Cruz Co., Calif. 4th check - 8 - 8:30 pm. 1 A.M. croceum - my trap check. 5th check - 8:30-8:45 Nothing - checked water traps - 2 dead Hyla. 6th check - 8:50 - 9:15. Nothing - Humidity data 98% 5:30 pm - Skig Psychrometer - 13.0°C - 55°F. 97% 7:30 - 13°C - 56°F. Humidity paper - 5:30 - 7:45 - 16.5°C. #1 - at side Bonita Rd. - #2 - In woods (near trap) - Weather - no rain - but overcast & threatening. 1-10 min shower at 4:30 pm - not wetting at all. Left Valencia at 9:35 & drove home. Feb. 16 Valencia Lagoon, Rio del Mar, Santa Cruz Co., Calif Left MVZ at 7:30 am. Began work at Valencia about 10 am. Checked can traps - #1 had 3" of water in it. No amphibs in #1 - just one drowned fiv. F Nestor fascipes. #2 can was forced out of its hole by seepage of water. 1 ad. of croceum (#/66 now) was in can along with numerous leeches (Caridie) & earthworms. Worked pond next for eggs with little luck. Got about 6 eggs (see sp. account). The water is still very muddy & it is difficult to
