Ambystoma macrodactylum croceum
Nov. 18 Valencia Lagoon, Rio del Mar, Santa Cruz Co., Calif.
26 adult ♂♂ seen between 6 pm and 10:45 pm on or near the sandy road starting the south edge of Valencia Lagoon. All [illegible], but 1, were facing towards the pond area. The one exception was facing west, parallel to the pond area.
All had well developed tail fins & enlarged choroidal crops. It had rained during the night of 17th & this morning's. Showers between 2:30 & 3:30 pm and again between 7:15 and 8:15. There light but continuous showers. Ground & duff quite moist - but [no] runoff. 2 ♂♂ brought back for study, 7 others observed but not marked. Remaining 17 marked & released. Temp. data recorded below (number refers to marking catalog).
