Anderson 1957 Amphistoma macrodactylum croceum Oct. 13 Valencia Lagoon, Rio del Mar, Santa Cruz Co., Calif. 5 adults marked on the upper wood than the oak wood. 1st at 7 pm (PST) #119 ♀, cl. temp. 15.2°C, temp 1/2" above surface 14.8°C. Facing down hill direction, as though it had come down from hillside to N. But actually facing N.E. while pond is NW. All other but #123 facing same approx. direction. #123 facing exactly opposite. 7:30 pm (PST), #120 ♂, cl. temp. 15.0°C, temp 1/4" above surface 14.8°C, soil 14.6°C. 7:40 pm (PST), #121 ♂ - no temp. data 7:50 pm (PST), #122 ♂, cl-temp 15.2°C, temp 1/4" 15.0°C, soil 15.0°C. 8:15 pm (PST), #123 ♂, cl. temp 14.4°C, temp 1/4" 14.0, soil 14.4°C. ♀ had well rounded, but not distended abdomen. ♂♂ all had swollen vents. Only #123 had vent so swollen as to be considered prime condition. Others well swollen but not quite prime.
