to hunt some of these, we managed to catch large fat male alive that was caught in an old stove in a dump heap. We now have him in a minnow bucket & B. Davis will probably keep it. This was caught 4 1/2 mi. S.E. New Plymouth Payette Co. Most B. idahoensis were in open glassland June 1. 2 mi. S. Payette & including Mann Cr. in Yellow Pine Belt 20 Mi. N. Wieser. Mr. A.O. Escape the same her here took me to a lumber camp from Payette while he gathered wood. We had to cross into Oregon for a few miles making my 2nd visit to that state. Hunted a slight bit for squirrels & marmots. Took us 4 pre to go 44 miles coming back includin'flats on the trails. Vegetation along Mann Creek was composed Douglas Fir, Yellow Pine White Fir. Ridges were barren & Rocky & forest only in Canyons. Sierran / Transition birds were there. Farther down the canyon the vegetation changed to Cottonwoods Alders & Sagurost.
