did the only thing, Kill them.
The youngs eyes weren't opened
yet Their color was dark gray.
They were about 4" long & their
incisors were just appearing.
My suppose the rate that had
been caught this morning were
young "Bushy-tails", but since
finding the adult without the
large tail they are probably
something else. I skinned the
Parent.
Marmot - An old female was
shot with much of the hair
missing on the rear parts
(back toul etc.), This is probably
a molt or disease. Skinned
& saved.

Weather was overcast in the
morning & rain started which
continued. Stayed in the tent
most of the day & so no
field observing was done.
