Aldrich 936 29. May 28 5 mi. S.E. Murphy to 2 mi S. Melba Canyon Co., Idaho. Started skimming at 6:15 + finished at 9:30. Packed up + left for Melba. Collected a few rat traps & got one Leurodes). We also collected several plants of the area. Stopped about 1 hr. in Murphys & continued on the road past our old shanty where we camped on May 26. 6 mi W. Murphy. Much snow on Mts. Coming over pass & dropped into Reynolds Cr. Here we stayed a good share of the afternoon trapping gophers (T. quadratus) & shooting squirrels. (C. oregonus). We then went to Melba & back to the "Pine Rock" 2 mi S. melba which is located at the N. Base of a Sage-covered Butte. Say Phoebe - The nest previously seen was again examined & some startling had changes had taken place since our last visit. There was a dead ♂ Sinnet in the nest which somebody probably put there, another Sinnet post was located beside the Phoebe's nest. One yng. Phoebe was missing + only I had their bands on). Citellus leurodon - These squirrels were [illegible] encountered a few mi. N.W. Reynolds Cr. again.)
