sun cooulatng. Howard shot a Sharp-shinned Hawk but couldn't find it, in Willows. Looking up towards dam I saw what I thought was large gull, but that gloom could make out Tail bands, which we concluded was Osprey. Later we saw B. Davis & Mr confirmed our observations. We climbed out of canyon & set traps line at the summit. Spotted a Marmot I shot in morning. It was a yqg. of the year. by now (12 hrs. later) it was duffed up like a drum. Wind was cold + strong tonight + so put Owl in sack for night. List for today: Horned Lark 2 Veepers Sparrow 6 Eng. Sparrow 2 Cliff Swallow many Violet -9. Swallow /4 Canyon Wren 3 Coel. Gull 1 large flock Brewer Sparrow 30+ Audubon Warbler 2 White-throated Swift 6 Red-tailed Hawk 4 Lewis Woodpecker (Davis) 1 Yellow-Warbler 8+ Ruby-C. Kinglet 3 Blue Heron 5 Red-shafted Flicker 5
