Allison 1935 44 a level meadow containing many Corn Lillies that were just coming up. The light color of the body & tail were striking. It ran into the forest partly covered with banks of snow. The tracks there seemed as large as a medium sized Coyote (too only while running) Sage Hen - One seen gliding around a small hill, Area bounded with sage & scrub Popen. Swainson Hawk - One seen soaring above 2 "Red-tails". Both I were seen atop the same fir tree described before. One was calling in a fast whistle cries about 8 in a series gradually raised in pitched. This Glass one was seen eating a Violet Gupper. It would droop its wings below the perch every time it took a bite. After 4 minutes they soared out of sight calling, nearly always. Ruby-C. Kinglet - A female was observed gathering nesting material, but couldn't be followed. A male sings continually from a lodge - pole pine 30" up. "Violet-g. Swallow - Nest found 7'5" up in a 9" DBH Aspen. I would perch on set hole & look head in & out as though feeding young. Hummingbird (Sp?) - I saw in Aspens near clearing. Description answers
