Hammond Flycatcher - At a distance of 10 yds + under good light with binoculars I could see that the secondaries were about 5" to 6" shorter than the primaries when the wing was closed. Notes that all of them are giving here are in 2 syllables to-verse + tweeep.) The first being slightly slurred up & the last on the same pitch as the start of the first. Swinson Hawk - A couple days ago we met two egg collectors that obtained 2 eggs of this sps. atop a pine down the canyon away. Today I had an excellent view of one atop a dead fir (I was 10 yds from the base) With binoculars nearly every feather could be made out. It was in light phase with a deep yellowish wash of buff across breast. After watching it for a couple minutes it took off & soared in small circles. Junco (Sp?) - larger than ouzonas get sings same. Some description as one at Salmon Cr. June 9. Dr. Harrison Collected traps - line of 11 mouse traps + got one brightly colored P. m. concoloriensis. Out of 14 pairs of gopher traps only one was caught
