J.R. Alcorn 1943 Itinerary Saturday March 20, 1943. Last night I had 15 mouse traps and 6 no. 2 steel traps set. This morning I caught 1 Peromyscus, 1 Oroyomys, 1 Baiomys and 1 Urocyon. All these traps were set near a small stream. After preparing the specimens I returned to the same locality (1 mi. E and 6 mi. S Tacámbaro) and tonight I have 40 mouse traps, 5 rat traps and 6 steel traps set near this stream of water. Sunday March 21, 1943. This morning I looked at the traps and caught 2 Oroyomys, 5 Baiomys, 6 Peromyscus, and one Turkey Vulture. The ants had spoiled several specimens by eating part of them. This evening I set additional traps near the stream of water and tonight I now have 100 Mouse, 10 Rat and 6 steel traps set in this area.
