J.R. Alcorn 1943 Itinerary Friday March 12, 1943. Looked at the traps this morning and caught 2 skunks, one gopher, 4 microtus, 1 Promyscus, 4 Reithrodontomys. One opossum was purchased from an Indian for 85 centavos. I picked up all traps that were set beyond 5 mi. south of Pátzcuaro. I set traps this afternoon and now have 7 steel traps for skunks, 22 Gopher traps and 25 mouse traps set in the vicinity of 4 miles south of Pátzcuaro. I have no other traps set. Sat. March 13, 1943. Looked at the traps and caught 8 Reithrodontomys, 6 Gophers and two skunks. After preparing specimens today I returned to the locality about 4 mi. S Pátzcuaro and all traps were taken up and 14 Gopher traps and 25 mouse traps were set nearby. I now have 6 no.0 steel traps set for skunks.
