1943.
Itinerary
Mexico
North Am-
erica.
Saturday, February 27, 1943.
We left Monterrey this morning
after we made a tour of the
town. We then drove southward
over highway no. 1 and passed
through the towns of Linares,
and Mante. We stopped for the
night at Cd. Valles. Today we
passed through much tropical
territory. Palm and other trees
and vegetation, in places, were
so thick to make it appear
difficult for a person to
walk through the jungle.
Parrots and other birds, not
before seen by me, were observed.
I did follow a small trail
for a short distance into the
thickets and tonight have
found about a dozen ticks
(very small ones) on my cloths
and body.
