J.R. Alcorn
1943
Itinerary
Wednesday, February 24, 1943.
Today we traveled through Dryden, Comstock, Del Rio,
Quemado, Eagle Pass, Carrizo
Springs, Asherton, Catarina,
and southward on U.S. highway
no. 83 to Laredo. These towns
are all in Texas, U.S.A.
We arrived in Laredo this
evening and are staying at
an auto court.
Thursday, February 25, 1943.
This day was spent contacting
Mexican and United States government
authorities in an attempt to
obtain the necessary permission
to leave the United States and
enter into Mexico. For the most
part, I accompanied Dr. E.
Raymond Hall, and it was he
who took the lead
in attending to these matters.
