J.R. Alcorn 1943 Itinerary Thursday, February 18, 1943. We left La Fayette, Contra Costa Co., California this morning. The party consists of Dr. and Mrs. E. Raymond Hall and their three children, William, Hubert and Benny. SeƱor Pablo Valesquez and I also complete the party of seven. We are traveling in two vehicles, one a Chevrolet Sedan owned and piloted by Dr. Hall and the other a Museum 1/2 ton Dodge Truck driven by myself. Today we traveled southward in the state of California. We passed through the towns of Modesto, Merced, Madera, Fresno, Tulare, Famoso and Bakersfield. We camped out for the night about two miles from Bakersfield.
