(1) Wed July 2 Went over to American Lake for my first swim. The water was warm and the swimming great. On leaving came back thru the woods seeing up a maffard from a lagoon. The birds were abundant but about the same as seen before. Saw several evening grosbeaks as well as several creepers and girls. Camp found a brail's nest with three eggs incubation started. Also found a thrushy thrush about to leave the nest. July 3 Of all of those things today for the weekend. Picked up the set of Brails as 5 left. Received in total about six but found Jack was out. However since I had given me a key
