Nest: A depression in the
ground on the open prairie.
Nest near a stone and
among young scotch broom
6" high. Nest cup 2 1/2 deep.
Nests of this time of year
all seem to be in these
broom patches. Bowles says
that earlier this is not
true. These broom patches
appear at a distance as
patches of green grass 6" tall.
