Chiff Swallows around
thrift Barrels and trees
Swallows flying about and
Western Bluejays can
be heard singing in the
woods.
(Jan.19) I have been interested
in watching the juncos,
Sparks here. They have a
queer habit of playing
ground the bodies like
finnets, Sometimes I
see them around th[e]
eves and think - there
are some finnets but
the turn out to be Sparks.
The sparrows sing from
telephone poles houses,
ground and Sky. They
flee very tame and I can
easily see that they are
much darker than our
Southern Calif birds, their
tail looks almost black.
As big as our feet at
Drill I flushed one pair
while in scirnish line
that I am sure had a
nest. I returned after
hours but could not again
flush them. I have seen
several pairs populating Many
birds are still nesting and!
