Family, Trogloditidae N. San Diego Wren Date Apr 7, 1923 Set No. 10/3 Obs. No. 719 d Local: Los Angeles River near Burbank Calif. Spec fresh Colby Alden Willyson Nest in 4 ft stub hole at top Rim (old wadher) nest with few sticks made of hair fur and feathers one piece of snake or lizard skin. Could see eggs without breaking in Bird came and eat of nest remaining when we arrived at the stub. Both birds but silent until stub was disturbed. Male carrying food to the female not taken. N. Spec fresh Colby Alden Willyson Nest in 8 ft stub nest 6 ft up Rim. 6 in diam nest of hair fur feathers of chickens and twail or willow wadher piece of snake skin, few sticks. Nest stub taken. Birds close by.
