Desert Blackthroated Sparrow
April 15, 1924 / 4 fresh
Nest in bush 1½ bush 2' high
just below crown and to one
side of bush. Nest made of
grass with a few fine twigs,
dry lining - cotton from
crotale seed and another
bush. Bird flushed when
brush was trobled. Nest in
bottom of cañon in hills
3500' elev? Many birds
singing and flying off.
Birds to this nest stayed about
and fussed for a while.
