I thought maybe this [illegible] corn had a sore throat but others sang the same. While up in the meadow I heard a very peculiar song - something like a rock worm and yet entirely different from anything I know. The song sort of rabbled along with no definite course. The stream prevented me from hearing clearly and I could not hear it again. Immediately I went down to the stream and there was a water and chirping about. I believe it was this bird singing. I could see no other bird near and so I believe it was the angel. It could well be, certainly. it was interesting and I would have liked to heard it again! I watching the angle for a long time but it could not sing nor did I hear this song elsewhere.
